I remember being fond of the lesser known NO$ZX81 emulator a few years back. The debugger was quite handy when working in ML/assembly, though it looks like the XavSnap version of VB81 may have caught up now, from the screen shots.

Maybe You remember the rest of demos? (I mean the fire effects, and the dancing baby or somethign like that)? I remember a very old thread about demos with digitized video on the ZX81.
