Re: ZX81 HDMI interface using Raspberry Pi Zero
Just a thought, but if you already have a ZX CCB or ZX Vid comp video pcb installed, would you be able to bypass the comparator circuit altogether, and feed the signal directly into the RGB to HDMI? No, if you are saying what I think you are saying. As I understand it, the PI needs separate video a...

Re: ZX81 HDMI interface using Raspberry Pi Zero
I pretty crap these days at conjuring circuits up, could you post a schematic of the little circuit required? I'd love to give this a try. I have the CPLD pcb on the way. This is the circuit on the veroboard in addition to the pcb that's plugged into the Pi zero: composite2rgb.jpg Perfect! Thanks f...

Hey Dave - I'd love to see what you've got related to The Valley. I tracked down a copy of Computing Today with the original PET listing in, but have yet to type it into my PET.

Re: ZXpand+ ... 3.. 2.. 1..
I think new owners are going to be VERY happy with the ZXPand+ :D SirMorris was kind enough to send a ZXPand+ to me prior to last weekend. The reason being I was helping out on a mate's stall at the Revival retro event in Walsall, and being big ZX81 fans, we wanted to give it some exposure. We were ...

Re: "Different" ZX81's
Wooo - nice!! The kludge fix ones are really nice to have in a collection. It amazes me that they could fix a software bug in the ROM by plonking hardware on the CPU - amazingly clever (at least from my point of view!) That sounds interesting. Any description / explanation of it somewhere? There's ...
