Re: SZ81 compiled for intel Mac OS-X

It works great with CHR$128.

It was difficult to load the charset at $2000.

I couldn't load it with LOAD "CHARSET.U8K;$2000".

But if i renamed the file to CHARSET.ROM, I could load it with LOAD "CHARSET.ROM;8192".

But I couldn't get ZX Printer to work. Maybe it's not implemented on macOS.

Re: HOT-Z Keys

Thanks! :D After I opened the zippered folder and went deeper into the folder, I noticed that one Hot-ZII 16K file was corrupted. I see what I can do about that corrupted file. I believe that I have one on my cassette. I can try to upload clean one here if I can. Wm Dessony, sad to hear your casset...

Re: DEV-SNIP #1 - Input

A Pragmatic solution would be:

INPUT “USE JOYSTICK? [K]EMPSTON [Z]XPAND [N]ONE”;N$

(And please DON’T make 10 different .P files depending on hardware combinations. Just ask the user on the screen instead of complex hardware detection routines that might crash on other hardware anyway.)

Re: DEV-SNIP #1 - Input

I assumed joystick support on ZXpand was just sending keyboard keys thus not needing to call a specific ZXpand routine.

Re: DEV-SNIP #1 - Input

Will it work for simple keybord read on hardware that is not ZXpand, or is it ZXpand specific ports? Only the joystick is ZXpand specific. The keyboard reading is Sinclair standard. No specific hardware required :D So if I use this routine in my program without ZXpand it will crash because I don't ...

Re: DEV-SNIP #1 - Input

Here is my humble submission in the category of a nice general purpose input routine, where input from a number of devices is focused into a few simple values which can tell you whether an input is: Is this a routine that gets both a joystick direction and a key back? Can it be used for plain keybo...

A couple of pics of 12v fan in case which is now connected to 5v and both cases temporarily put back together.
On the second picture you need to put the rubberfeet back on. Otherwise the fan is useless. :)
