I use pins 36-40 for directions and fire. There are photos in the attachment.

I am using the simplest joystick ever - Quickshot 1 :) which triggers all directions and fire to the ground (pin 8). It works nice with my Atari. I have just checked it and it does not reset the PIC, there is no LED flash. After pushing the fire it sometimes ends in the BASIC prompt and sometimes it...

Yes, I know the reset is close. I did not use wires but a small board which is inserted into the PIC socket similar as AY board. But to be sure I have just checked the connection again and it is OK.

I made simple joystick board for ZXpand and have some problems. All 4 directions work nice, I tested them with ZXpand-commander and with some games like Batz. But the fire button does not work as it should, instead it resets the computer. I connected it according the picture in the manual. My ZXpand...
