Re: SZ81 compiled for intel Mac OS-X

I will repost the screen shots soon when I can figure out where to store them. Linking them from Google Drive did not work and there doesn't seem to be a way to upload images to the forum. To upload images to the forum - when writing a post, click on Attachments underneath the save / preview / subm...

Re: My zx80/zx81 clon is working

Looks nice - although anyone else spotted there is only one W button (it is upside down!) and 2 rivets used instead of the other 2 W buttons....

Re: Issue 1 vs Issue 2 ZX80 case

Excellent although is it the angle of the camera - the front right corner looks different to the front left...

Once you are happy with it - will it be possible to smooth out the moulds, so that the finished case is smooth?

Re: MEMOTECH

Yes, a keyboard interface is one of the most popular wishes. A centronics interface is also a potential thanks to the Retro-Printer - however, it would probably make more sense here to develop a simple centronics interface which would work with the ZX81 and ZX Spectrum and just emulate the ZX Printe...

Re: MEMOTECH

After this period of time, there is no problem with reverse engineering products and/or using their case designs (as the design rights have passed). You have to check if there are any valid patents (as they can be renewed), but the main issue is any custom chips/ROMs as there will still be subject t...

Re: The Future of Sinclair ZX World

I think you are looking at this at too deep a level. My interpretation is that the suggestion is for a range of different groups of 8 bit computer enthusiasts just use a common web site providing a framework with different forums for each group, different wiki sites, etc. etc... By having a non-pro...

Re: The Future of Sinclair ZX World

Anyway, I think RWAP is seeing a bigger picture. But I think what needs to be decided is, "What exactly is it that we are trying to prevent from being lost?". If it is just connectivity to data for a hobby that dies with us and the memories we have attaching us to 8-bit machines; then we could just...

Yes. Any moment now. I'm considering moving to a 'build on demand' model if that might be appropriate. You want to try this?
Trouble is the demand is probably for another 50 units....
