Re: Quickshot joystick not shooting

I did that and it worked for three or four clocks before dying again. The dome is still in place. I even tried making the connections directly and got no response. I opened up the body and it is a mess of frayed and nearly broken wires in there! Looks like a major tidy up is required. Job for anothe...

Re: Quickshot joystick not shooting

Well, one mystery solved. I found a little metal dome rattling around in the case. Clearly the tape was to hold it in place. Shame there are not two as there are two buttons.

Quickshot joystick not shooting

Hi all I recently acquired a Quickshot joystick which doesnt’t shoot. Well, it did for a few minutes and then gave up. Re: TS1500 and ZXPand

The 1500 has a routine to switch to channel 2 or 3 by pressing that number in the first few seconds after power on. That may have something to do with reset problems. Now you HAVE to add a KDLX48 by Pokemon for the Spectrum it fits the 1500. Charles Funnily enough i was looking at those and wonderi...

Re: TS1500 and ZXPand

Nice job! However I feel I should warn about the fact that both the ZXpand and the TS1500 can simultaneously try to drive the bus when accessing RAM above 32k. When the '1500 has external memory pulling on its RAMCS line on the edge connector it remaps the internal 16k to sit at 32k. If you start P...

Re: ZX81 rebuild

I got new sockets from Sell My retro:-

https://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/details/3473

They have four legs rather than the three in use on the zeddy. Do i just fold the unwanted one under or do i need to remove it? Currently I have reused an old one.
