Re: ZX Printer Belt
In the mean time, I'm just playing around with nGen Flex. This is my attempt at the belt. Tough to print with a 0.4mm nozzle. But it is spinning! ZXbelt.jpg And instead of using the plastic to hold the styli, I am trying use a thin metal pin (needle... music wire...?) to hold the stylus. With a tiny...

Re: ZX Printer Belt
Hi Mike, No worries! I do understand your dilemma. And $15,- is absolutely a very reasonable price. Since I already have my reel of nGen Flex I have drawn my own experimental belt. Not sure how you connect the styli, but I think I have found a rigid way to connect those. I can share my design (offli...

Re: ZX Printer Belt
For all who are interested, here are the .STL files for the ZXprinter belt. One file is the original design that includes the two posts that hold the styli onto the belt. The tops of the posts can be gently melted down to secure the stylus. Mike, job well done! Haven't been around for a while, but ...

Re: New home for my ZX80 replica...
Hi mhudson52, I did use PLA/PHA and Simplify3D as a slicer. PLA/PHA is slightly less brittle. But I am in the process to redraw the enclosure. Even though this model fits quite ok, it is not accurate to the last millimeter... (Sorry Markus, I have slight form of OCD :-) ) I am also working on a moul...

Re: How to mod a US ZX80 to work in New Zealand
So I'm In NZ, and I have two ZX80's, both from the US. Neither seem to work here, but both worked when I lived in Japan. One has a composite video mod. Is the reason they don't work have anything to do with the fact that NZ is 60hz power and the US is 50hz? I thought it was the other way around :? ...

New home for my ZX80 replica...
After I finished re-drawing the PCB of the ZX80 in a previous thread, it was time for a new home. No, I'm not selling it :D I wanted a replica enclosure. Recently I got a new 3D printer with a larger bed than my other one, so time to print one! Thanks to the 3D model from Markus I was able to print ...

Re: ZX80 2114 RAM test?
Sounds very promising! Wish I knew how to make such things 8-) If you can code for a ZX80/1, programming an Arduino is a breeze! Especially if it needs to be done quick and dirty 8-) I'm currently (slowly) working on a RAM tester using a PIC micro-controller. The original idea was just to test 4116...
