It was very frustrating, I made a little metal bracket that clamped the Sinclair Rampack to the main case - using the original screw holes. Helped a lot.... :D

Hi, Recently joined the forum, I built my first ZX81 from a kit as a 15 year old, taught myself BASIC and ended up knowing more than my Computer studies teacher! :lol: It got used for a few years until I started using Commodore PETs at college, and eventually it was given away. Fond memories though ...

Is the bruised connection visible with the ULA in place?

I have an early Rev 3 board with the older ULA in it. Happy to take pics if you need them...
