Re: Slower than Slow. I mean 25 hertz slow;-)

I did suspect slowdown could affect the display, as that is what "slow" does. The ula interaction with the clock ... I did not know of . :o But someone did say the ula runs the video framing. SO if that is going on, it must be "using the clock" to keep it all in sync. :roll: Both the Z80 AND the UL...

Re: Campus LIsP (32K)

Yes, nowadays there are a lot of solutions, to fast-load a program or data anywhere into ram (Zxpand, USB-drivers, Mefisdos, ZeddyNet). Thus the workflow I had in mind would be: - Load and run ZEDIT and create a Lisp source code(results in ASCII text at 32K). If necessary, save the text (Lisp source...

Re: Campus LIsP (32K)

Hi Stefano to keep it portable: could you just add an additional option (or a command) to read input from an ASCII string somewehre in memory (e. g. from 8192 of a 56K Zeddy)? Then I could write a small program to - copy a text (created by ZEDIT) from 32K to 8K and replace ^Z by a \0 (to create a we...

Re: Campus LIsP (32K)

Editing a function is not possible, you need to re-enter it and crossing fingers you should be able to issue the garbage collector with (gc) to wipe the old one. Hm, then it would be nice to have the souce code of the function somewhere in RAM (where it could be edited), and then could be imported ...

Re: Campus LIsP (32K)

Hi Stefano
is it possible to edit a function which has been typed in incorrectly?

Does the 48 K version have only data above 48K? On most zeddies (except ZxMore) running machine code above 48K is not possible (above 32K only after M1NOT modification).

Re: TAZMANIAC

If memory (ZXPand) is inside the case: don't forget to allow disabling that internal memory from outside (via signal /RAMCS). Otherwise it would not be possible to add external ram, e.g. the Chroma81 interface ...

Re: PEEKing memory locations with z88dk (for ZX80 randomiser)

Or to PEEK/POKE system variables (or other fixed memory locations) just create a variable there and use it like usual:

Code: Select all

int sysvar @ 0x401e;

if (sysvar ==0x4711)
 sysvar = 0;

Re: PEEKing memory locations with z88dk (for ZX80 randomiser)

Hi Shaun
use somthing like that:

Code: Select all

char *ptr;
char ch;
ptr = (char *) 0x4711; /* address to be peeked */
c  = *ptr;

Re: Ram at 8K with NO$ZX81?

Thanks.
In this version the emulated ZX81 has ram@8K and runs with reasonable speed (even on my 166MHz Libretto) :mrgreen:
