Re: Loading/Editing/Saving .p files..?

There is a kind-of standard that can be used to put the gfx chars into the text editor. It uses sequences of 2 characters that (somewhat vaguely) represent the quarter square graphics. See at the bottom of this page . Something like this: PRINT "%H%I% %T%H%E%R%E" will print HI THERE in inverse text....

I tried looking for a Python Plug-in for Notepad++ that could open&convert .p files to txt but alas...didn't find one... :(
There is a program called zxtool that can convert p to txt. I think ZX-IDE can do it too but I've never tried. ZXtool is here

Re: ZEsarUX beta 5.1

Any IO address with a zero in bits 0..2 is not usable on a real ZX81. This is because the bottom 3 bits of IO operations are not decoded and used as ULA control signals. I don't know what effect this may have in an emulator.

Re: Loading/Editing/Saving .p files..?

There is ZX-Ide which is aimed at machine code programming but it has the ability to assist with BASIC too. Spend a little time learning it and you can do some cool stuff like fire up your program into EightyOne or a real ZX81. Another way is to edit your BASIC program in notepad or whatever and the...

Re: What is the going price to have EPROMs burnt?

Some types command higher prices due to their rarity and/or difficulty of programming. The TI 25xx series for example. You often need a more specialist programmer (read: expensive) for these.

Re: What is the going price to have EPROMs burnt?

For another project that I run I sell EPROMS for £2 + postage. If someone sends me an EPROM I won't charge to burn it for them. In truth they never do, though :)

Re: Explain this behavior

Fast horizontal scrolling will require a modified video routine, one which allows movement across a larger buffer. It's possible.

Re: New release of EightyOne available

I don't know if you are that much into Z80 machine code and IF-1 interna - but if you have the time and interest to investigate this issue, it would be my pleasure to help wherever necessary. Hi there. I've been known to do a little Z80 from time to time. I don't do Spectrum however. I'll have a li...

Re: New release of EightyOne available

Regarding symbol instead I don’t understand how to load the .sym file: I have all files .p or .o with the corresponding .sym file and in No$Zx the symbols are loaded and displayed automatically, but is not the case of EightyOne… How to load the .sym file or maybe is a matter of format? (I attached ...
