@siggi it patches the original d-file and places a JP xxxx there the JP is interpreted ok but then because of no M1 signal your 56k machine is not getting the correct opperand bytes, you could copy the jump address to the corresponding location ( d-file address + $8000 ) in the upper ram. We are not adding 256 to the low byte... when we do something like PRINT PEEK 16388 + 256 * PEEK 16389 To display the current value of ramtop you have to remeber the order of processing. the computer will do both PEEKS then it will multiple the second PEEK [highbyte] value by 256 and finally add on ...

the save and loads are done in basic it is clunky but was done that was so that others could modify the basic to suit there storage system i.e USB or other SD card solution, what ever solution you use needs to be able to load / save chunks of memory.

I think this is interesting, too.
