Re: TAZMANIAC
I had an internal SpanyPants in mind as well as imagining hearing someone offer a native '81 board for Spec48/TS1500 cases! Didn't take too long. I can see the narrow path of the idea broadens into too many fun choices. I had four minor and three major design variants already and one was with the Sp...

Re: TAZMANIAC
So I take this to mean that you are open to moving the ear and mic for the purposes of say aesthetic of not using the bus extension? My TS-1500 has an mold impression where the UK RF/RCA jack would go. So it is easy to identify. It does appear that the US video is covered by ZXPand envelope. So all ...

Re: TAZMANIAC
As before... Firstly, should one goal be to fit a ZXPAND on the rear without a EXTENSION? Because the ear and mic are also in the way of attaching a ZXPand. I would think moving the ear and mic are a necessity in this case if one did not want a extension for the bus but to plug directly into. I can ...

Re: TAZMANIAC
Since there is some enthusiasm for this project, I will ask for input! But just one issue at a time... I have looked at some options for placement of ports. Case differences between 1500 and Spec' cases necessitate this. Firstly, should one goal be to fit a ZXPAND on the rear without a EXTENSION? If...

Re: TAZMANIAC
Yes aftermarket bare case, faceplate at Retro' and membrane or KDLX switch at SMR would be needed in which to install my kit. Having T'ZX81'000 rubber keyboard with proper silk screening made is an unknown right now as I have not talked to the ones having these items made for Spectrum... Maybe I sho...

Forth Origins and Reflection
OK the original title does not convey what I mean. My interest got peek in all the Forthin' talk on this forum. Decided to check out Charles Moore and read one of his pubs. Saw this of his and got depressed about the human race. Added: All his projects he outlined for implementation of OS have no su...

TAZMANIAC
Anybody interested in a kit to transplant a ZX81 motherboard into a Spectrum style case with a few integrated improvements like we have seen come out on SMR? That would mean upgrading to a rubber keyboard preferably paired with a KDLX key-switchboard. Implementing the other improvements would need a...
