I was looking for the datasheet and came across this which might be helpful for people in the EU wanting chips... I'm not sure...

Re: Which 32k ram chip to use?

Thanks Mark. I've ordered a few. Are there any easy ways to check if the RAM chips are OK please? I know I have a RAM tester for the BBC Micro chips, but that's not going to work with these I think. Still waiting for the Luamcode to HDMI to arrive... probably next year now by the looks of it! Michel...

Re: Which 32k ram chip to use?

For reference, for the BBC B sideways 4 bank ram, I'm using the Alliance AS6C1008-55PCN and I'm not needing any additional components.

Which 32k ram chip to use?

I'm reading up about the internal 32k ram upgrade and about some ram being too fast and requiring capacitors to slow down the signal wires. Grateful for people's pointers to the ram chips to use please, and the most reliable/straightforward installation instructions My intention will be to fit a soc...

Re: Memory Card storage options

Well, that was a hope that was over very quickly. Someone outside the UK was willing to sell me a ZXpand+ and I was willing to risk the "friends and family" paypal transaction to get it. However, with the postal situation at the moment with our area among the ones affected by serious postal staff sh...

Re: Memory Card storage options

I hope to be getting a ZXpand+ at some point in January. Someone has contacted me privately. I'm waiting for the christmas post to get sorted out before risking a package getting through, as I've had a few things go walkabout this month. We'll see how things go and I might come back to you for your ...

Re: Memory Card storage options

Thanks for the advice.

The ZX-Wespi requires Windows to do some of the work, and I'm a Linux user, so couple that with my minimal electronics experience that's down the list of options.

The ZXpand+ will likely be my target, unless something else appears on the horizon.

Memory Card storage options

I've been reading up on various posts and it seems that the ZXpand+ card is the one to go for, with this seller in the EU being the best value... https://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/details/63279 However, firstly there might be options I haven't found... and secondly, the shipping to the UK from the E...
