Re: 1K Sudoku Solver
@Bukster. Tried the following grid (see picture) on both emulator and real 81. It never seems to get beyond the third line, going into an endless loop as it were. Have run it on emulator speeded up X100 and still no solution after 2hrs run. Just a heads up nothing more as I still think it's great fo...

Re: ZX EPROM Programmer Port
I use it to burn what ever new 81 ROM comes to the forum and have no need for PC burners which seem to struggle with the 21/25v end of things, I guess I'm a bit old fashioned when it comes to things like this. That’s because some of the cheap PC EPROM burners were originally designed to burn ...

Re: ZX EPROM Programmer Port
I have 2 EPROM burners for the 81 . One uses some kind of cobbled together logic chips and the other one is an 8255 device which can burn most of the old 21/25v devices when attached to either the 81 or the spectrum although I only have the spectrum software to run it(the guy who sold me it said it ...

Re: Unusual PSU
One of my power supplies was made in Lincolnshire. The board has place of origin on it as part of the design but sadly not the maker.

Re: Memotech Z80 Assembler question
I just tried using real Memotech unit in fast mode and it promptly crashed, with no problem in slow mode.

Re: Memotech Z80 Assembler question
Great work Martin for which I am thankful.
I seem to recall that the original Memotech unit would only work in slow mode when USR 16258 is called.
I will check this and report the result.

The keywords on the prototype zx81 keyboard mentioned can be found on the slide-show featured on the Dickinson Associates site here....
