I read about this trick somewhere. To give your keyboard a "tactile" feedback place a drop of clear nail polish on the keys. Try this at your own risk!!! Try a test drop on the black margin first. I wouldn't do this on all the keys only certain ones like the cursor keys for example. And let it dry completely before using.

Actually, this could be a use for knackered membranes... to test if this "trick" works. Assuming that only part of the membrane has failed and there are still some working keys!
