Well,
In theory you can fill the printerbuffer with lines and print hiresdata from it.

I forget if it was a ZX81 or a ZX Spectrum program... anyway, it printed pictures in "landscape" (sideways) format on the attached printer

Just 30 bytes needed to do that on any B/W printer attached to a ZX Spectrum.

On the ZX81, you can print a screen in high res using my ZX printer driver.
Just create four screens and the high-res driver will print out all screens on the printer.

Isn't it the keyword COPY made for a hardcopy of the actual screen contents (including hires) ?
