I hope there's going to be a hints section too, Xav. I can't get out of the first location!

...and talking about the archive, Xav, what exactly is that: "BMP CONVERTER.exe"??
Does it convert BMP into ZX81? And if so - can it save them as *.P?? (For now I can see only saving as *.bin).

Hi ,
Or copy/paste the first line in your text file ... and use ZxToken/Vb XuR...
It's made for ...
But, is a 4bits encoding char 0 to 7 and 128-136.
11h = CHR$ 1 + CHR$ 1
FFh = CHR$ 136 + CHR$ 136 !
And all pixels are convert in a plot char. map.
Enjoy.

Just load the binary in the 2 REM Line offset... (in EO/VB XuR "memory tools")yerzmyey wrote:...and talking about the archive, Xav, what exactly is that: "BMP CONVERTER.exe"??

You had to get the Basic TXT file and erase all unused lines !And if so - can it save them as *.P??

Btw, I also think about making some text-adventure for ZX81, in English language, if people are interested in them.
I mean ZX81 is famous because of its fine arcade games but well, some new txt-adventure might be interesting too, maybe.
However my adventure games are on different engine. In my games the most imprant think are adventures themselves, some plot/fiction/story stuff, I could say. So they would not have supposedly as good gfx as Xav's games but maybe it could be good too...?
In my idea of engine, the text describes situation and dialogs, and stuff. Like in a book. But then - there are possibilities listed. The player chooses by keys some possibilities (1,2 or 1,2,3 let's say).
It's rather old kind of txt-adventures, coming from 70s, if I recall, when the games were published as... books indeed.
Of course I could try also to add some pictures but it would depend of memory, as my stuff would be max. for 16Kb (that's my machine).
Well, we will see.
PS: If anybody's interested in the engine itself, we made 3 txt-adventures for ZX Spectrum. The games are not in English sadly, but still You could get the idea of the engine.
