Hi Coggie,

I usually open text files using my VB81 Xur emulator on Windows w32. Win98/XP/2000/W7/?W10? (http://zx81.vb81.free.fr)
(Zxtext2P and Zx81 riched font)

just type SAVE"myprg.txt" in the emulator, a text file will be generated in the P files folder!

or ZxBasic (http://dskcenter.free.fr/zxtools).

Does anybody have the "DskCenter_DLL.zip" for ZXTOOLS which seems to be unavailable?

Hi,

@gammaray :
I tried to download the DLL using an US proxy, and i had a "500 error" while download!
I had to upload the DLL on the same web-site to avoid this problem.
The vb81 link now point to the same hosted site name... http://zx81.vb81.free.fr/download/DskCenter_Dll.zip
The download seem working now.
Sorry ! :oops:

launch "SETUP" (uncompressed zip file), and click on the "computer" icon to update your system.

the "Vb81_XuR.exe" launch mustn't display DLLs missing warning window!

@Dim_75 :ugeek: Thanks!

Have fun!

Now if some geek can show me how to get this running on GNU-Li'x WINE!
It run on "Wine".

Just create a new foler on the desktop... install "winzip","winRAR" or "7zip".
copy DLLs and "VB81XUR_EXE.zip" in this folder.

Unzip the DLL's zip and launch it... select the computer icon... and exit when it ok.
delete DLL's zip and all other files, and keep "VB81XUR_EXE.zip"

Unzip "VB81XUR_EXE.zip" in the current folder, using recurs directory expend.
Move this folder if you have a special emulator directory...
Now, go to the "icons" folder in the root VB81 directory.

Double click on the "Setup_Programs_menu_links.js" file to create auto-launch link (right click on the P file)

Double click on "VB81_XuR.exe" file!

note:
-Don't use Vb81 in a zipped folder, it not able to find the right "ROM" and "DATA" directories!
-Don't delete/move "DATA" and "ROMS" folders.
-If you use a real-time virus protection (AVAST), it can corrupt the first VB81 launch due to the scan latency (VB can't wait!) ... just try again, it will be able to run without errors!

Have fun!
:D
