I think it's a great game! But....

Could it be a problem playing this with the "older" ZXpand? I have the UDG board, the AY-Board and its starting ok, but when I die before the first "cave" and come a second time to this area the game crashes each time.
I've upgraded my ZXpand to firmware 2.61.

Someone else has reported this :( I haven't found the problem yet - I will post here if I do.

Oddly enough I find the lastest incarnation of Dragon screws up Eighty One at this point, not tried real zeddy yet.

For me, the game hangs in a cave. If I understood correctly, then the zxpand joystick function does not work yet?

The latest build has the cave bug fixed. Thanks to jungsi for pointing it out

Joystick support was failing for users of the classic/ay setup, but that is now fixed. Please ensure that the ZXpand classic has the latest (2.62) firmware flashed.

I checked yesterday. The joystick works, but the program continues to hang at the beginning of the cave

Why do I see such graphical glitches? I use a UDG4ZXPand and a ZXPand+

Wow... I would first try cleaning the edge connector on the zeddy itself. I don't suppose by any chance you have another zeddy you could try it with and if the problem still persists then I will try to resolve the issue or replace the UDG board.

Regards Andy.

Cleaned the edge connector and updated to latest ZXpand+ FW 1.12 - no change. I do have another Zeddy with Composite Mod (ZX8-CB), but that one refuses to work with the ZXpand at all. I have two more ZX81, but un-modded and my displays are too modern to handle the RF signal.

I believe I can see two effects:
1.) Real glitches
2.) Fine vertical lines on black areas - I can also see this on the "Bad apple" demo
