Z80SVG

Post by stefano »

I'm proude to announce that my z80svg tool is now part of the automatic build process in z88dk.
This means that also Windows and MAC users can easily pick a ready to run program from the nightly repository (look in the "bin folder" in the archives): http://nightly.z88dk.org/

In the example I'm attaching (compiled to run in WRX mode, but we have other options) I used the Clive Siclair picture got from Wikipedia, cut and simplified a little with paintbrush and converted to SVG with this online service:
http://www.roitsystems.com/cgi-bin/autotrace/tracer.pl

Ovbiously many other SVG pictures are compatible with the converter (and the drawing libraries): my experiments show that at least the 30% of what you can find online give acceptable results with no or minimal adjustments, (and about the 40% will hardly fit). This is not the best picture ever to show the library power, so I'm adding also the old 'rabbit' demo.

If anybody would like to try himself I'll be glad to help.
