Nicely done,

took the opportunity to look inside the HR-routine.
In this way you indeed don't need a large screenbuffer to display.

It is always nice to see some demo in hires in 1K.
The first demo in 1K hires triggered me to start coding hires games in 1K.

I am short in time for coding. Still working on an idea, but time is short.
When display is ready you will see a 3D view of a road moving towards you in app. 350 bytes.
Rest of memory is then available for the game to develop.

So, your next step:
think of a game, possible in some kind of hires in 1K and start coding.
(I hate to be the only one in the world to have done that  )

Thanks for all the positive comments, it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy!

I just added the source, have a look at the original post. This version is NTSC and PAL compatible.

dr beep: I really enjoyed looking at the source of your games, I hope I can inspire someone as much with my source as you've inspired me.
I probably won't make any games, since the gamer in me was lost a long time ago. Coding is rewarding.

Nice work, I like it.
Is it random when the bars change the direction or fixed ?
Didn't get this. ;)

Yes - I mean there is a change after 10 or 20 seconds - first they go round in a circle and then they go like a snake in the viewer direction and after an additional time and turns into a circle movement back.

optical illusion, it can snake into or out of the screen , or rotate clockwise or counter clockwise, if you think about what you want it to do you can make it switch at will...

cool
