99% pretty darn sure,
what's that Smell.... smells like fresh flux and solder fumes...

Yes, that is only an optical illusion, no coding trick used. The proof is in the source. I was too lazy to do any fancy animation :)

There were spare cycles left in the graphics routine of VBARS, and I was certain that it would be possible to make 8-pixel wide masked bars. I even dreamt of coding it, so I really couldn't help myself...

I just finished testing the new code, and it does indeed work as I intended after some size-optimization. The source-code has more comments and a more straight-forward animation loop, so should be easier to read.

A release is forthcoming, with an even tighter fit in our beloved ZX81s 1k memory.
