Re: ZXpand firmware improvements
After reading Charlie's dissertation on the "io rw pic bus...", I no longer have the delusion that this stuff is direct or easy given the design of the z.
I may have to stick to making wooden zeddy cases.

Glad to hear that you have managed to get the faster loading... as for a firmware name, maybe this one should be called 'T-Rex' - after all, the boards have had 'T-Rex is waiting" for quite a while...

If you need a tester for new FW I have some code that would love to be (ab)used.

Re: ZXpand firmware improvements
If only there was a way of getting it onto the zxpand without the attendant swapping of sd cards... hmmm.
This is on ZXpand+ but the serial port on ZXpand can be used if you can solder 3 wires TX,RX & gnd.

My name on youtube at last.
How does that Ronettes song go again?
"I can hear music.. I can hear music...."
Hmmmm I can solder three wires Charlie care to tell Fred Thickey here, where to and what codey type gubbins is needed to output a data stream? (MIDI MIDI MIDI..)
Donning my serious hat for a mo.
Knowing how busy Charlie is with projects various + real life can I just say well done for finding the time for this piece of wizardry good sir knight.
