just trying it with the new Zxpand+ and whilst some of the introductory surround/border is a bit corrupted the text is fine and so is the first demo
That's because they're standard ZX81 patterns and are supposed to use the normal bit pattern table at 1E00, but are now using the patterns from the "overlay" ROM instead. I haven't tried it but Loading with the "X" option would probably fix it.
