ZX80 Case Rivets

Post by RWAP »

Whilst I have plenty of black case rivets left, I am down to my last white rivet...

I contacted the company where I purchased these from before (in 2011) but unfortunately, they have no stock of the white rivets left (and there is a very high minimum order quantity).

THe ones I used were:
Head Diameter 4.8mm
Head Thickness 1.2mm
Height: 5.0mm
Hole Diameter: 3.2-3.7mm
Panel Thickness 0.8-3.6mm

In the German forum user MSCH found a source for the rivets.
I'll contact him to list them on SMR.
Kind regards Paul

Hey Paul, did you ever have any luck contacting the user on the German forum concerning the ZX80 rivets?

Yes I contacted him. I guess he forgot. I ask him for permission to give his email address to you.

I have finally found a supplier for the rivets in the correct natural color. According to the spec sheet they should be dimensionally indistinguishable from the original ZX80 case rivets. Since they are on the other side of the planet it may be a couple of weeks before they arrive. I thought 500 would be a good start.
