A TIMEX SINCLAIR (TS1500) IN LONDON

I have a TS 1500 coming to me from California, and I hope to use it here in the U.K.

I know the voltage in the USA is 110 volts, while here in Britain it is 240 volts.

Could anyone let me know if I will have to find a new power cable, or get the system modified?. The last thing I want to do is blow the little beauty up, especially since it appears to be unused, as well as 34 years old.

Thanks in advance, Alan

I recommend using a ZX81 power supply.
Other than that any power supply having 7 to nine volt output and a 3.5mm Jack with positive on the tip will do.
Kind regards Paul

Nice!

I have one of these

and one of these for use with mine.

I had a ZXVid fitted by Mutant Caterpillar Games.

I have found that the ZX Chroma doesn't work (http://www.fruitcake.plus.com/Sinclair/ ... bility.htm) but the ZXpand does although sirmorris who makes them does not recommend using them together (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2660).

Thanks to you both. I really feel I have the best of both worlds - my first computer inside the shell of my second - and no danger of the Rampack falling off by a puff of wind.
