So the initial shipment of boards was delivered to the post office on Saturday afternoon. Which means, due to the bank holiday here today, that they will be entering the postal system on Tuesday morning. I'll be interested to see if they make it to the UK based early adopters on Wednesday. Here's hoping :D

I think new owners are going to be VERY happy with the ZXPand+ :D

SirMorris was kind enough to send a ZXPand+ to me prior to last weekend. The reason being I was helping out on a mate's stall at the Revival retro event in Walsall, and being big ZX81 fans, we wanted to give it some exposure. We were the only stall representing the ZX81 and ZX Spectrum, but that meant it got a lot of attention!

The ZXpand+ was set up on my ZX81 and ran continuously from 9am to 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday - primarily a mix "pumping" AY tubes, Dragon's Lair and the normal mix of games (3DMM/Mazogs/Galaxians etc). As expected it ran perfectly without a hiccup :)

It was very well received with a lot of interest and in truth we could of sold a few at the show with no hassle. Those interested have been told to keep an eye on SMR and set up a keyword alert. It was surprising how many people didn't know about the ZXPand (or +), but I guess it shows that we live in a bit of bubble., but perhaps that makes us the lucky ones

Anyhow the ZXP+ is a cracking bit of kit, even Jim Bagley says so!

Kudos to you Fwapp for promoting the 'spand+ and the smile on Baggers face say it all, glad you had a great day. :D

(If I'd known what you were doing I'd have sent you my "juke box" prog which plays unattended without having to load songs one at a time.)

I wonder if Baggers would be interested in streaming audio in the same way as the video in Dragons Lair as that would open up some interesting possibilities.

The only trouble with SD cards, is I am very good at loosing them, and the microSD cards are even worse!

I know what you mean. You put them down, turn around to do something and they have gone!
