REDXpand+ one for the collectors.

These are being sold by the ZXpands creator Charlie Robson with whom I have to declare I am friends with and sometimes beta tester but I'm receiving nothing of reward for posting this, also without his knowledge.
I've noticed he has not listed it in the ZX81 /vintage computing section where most here may look but in the general section where it could be missed and it would be a shame if members of the forum who may be interested didn't see this.

I think the red looks great!
I want an additional one, I have an older version already.

Based on the last eBay auction be prepared to pay £150 or more. A unique red one may be even more silly.

Limited edition ZXpand+ interface for ZX81/TS1000 computers.
Brought to you by SirMorris, the original creator & builder.
When it comes to records they have to be coloured vinyl. That's just me. So why oh why have I been making black ZXpands all this time? Well, for one, they camouflage well against our little black door wedges. And let's face it - black is s.e.x.y. Again, that might just be me
When I ordered the last round of PCBs I thought it would be fun to make a few in red. So I did. Here's one. It's no different in function to a regular ZXpand, it's just the colour, although the sign-on message of each unit proudly displays its serial number. This one in particular is number 3 of 5. Numbers 4 & 5 (pictured) will be coming up soon. Numbers 2 & 1 are already with their VIP owners, just so's you know and don't hold out for an earlier number. Do people actually do that? /shrugs/
This board is the latest iteration of the ZXpand series - issue 5.3. It comes with on-board AY sound generation, compatible with ZON-X software, and a joystick socket. The on-board 32K memory expansion and BASIC language extensions make this plug-and-play unit an ideal all-in-one solution for our favourite retro comuter. Oh, did I mention instant loading of all your favourite scary-t-rex-in-a-labyrinth-type games? I shouldn't need to - if you're reading this you probably already know how this works.
The manual is online at my github - charlierobson/ZXpand-Vitamins/wiki - if you are in the least bit interested. And if you've read this far I can only assume you are..!
Happy bidding and if any questions arise I will be happy to answer them. Except for those relating to quantum physics or the nature of regret. I won't answer those.

Maybe just as well you did not get it. You would have wanted other bright colours as wellLardo Boffin wrote: ↑Wed Oct 12, 2022 8:19 am Anyone on here get it? I was outbid at the very last second.
