Re: Wanted: Mindware MW100

Necro bump.

I just picked one of these up off Ebay for $30 (with the manual and power supply). Also found a source for the ribbons and ordered 3. I'll post some pics when it shows up.

Meanwhile here's the ebay photo

Re: ZX Printer Belt

The staple solution works great, very firm and easy to do in a couple of mins rather an 1hr. A bit of insulation from a 22awg wire fits perfectly as the cap on the staple, nice and tight no glue needed so the stylus moves freely as it should. See photos, The print is blurring as it goes to the right...

Re: ZX Printer Belt

2nd printer up and running...sort of, it's printing but the styli are not properly "working" so I need to remount them. The 2nd printer needed the belt printing at 102% to rotate. I also added gun oil on the gears which seemed to help rotation. The fact I'm "custom" making each belt for each printer...

Re: ZX Printer Belt

Maybe you can buy a fax roll, and cut it for 10 cm, and use that, so there's paper between styli and printer roll. Yes that's an idea...doesn't matter if it actually prints or not...now I think about it will the printer run anyway without paper?? I know the feed button works but don't think I've ac...

Re: ZX Printer Belt

Anyone see a problem with me running the printer without paper for an extended amount of time? Obviously with the paper being a premium I don't want to use up one of my few rolls on belt testing...presumably as long as the belt keeps rotating and the styli stay in place/attached to it, then the actu...

Re: ZX Printer Belt

Some success tonight. Printed belt at 101%. Painstakingly put the styli on (trimming the posts, putting the styli on and then using a short piece of wire insulator and melting it on top). Tried it on another printer, a better condition one..and success. Not run it a whole lot yet though, I guess it ...

Re: ZX Printer Belt

The fiberflex showed up, would not print reliably on my Anycubic I3 Mega, didn't like going through the bowden tube...too flexible for it think. I managed to get 1/2 a print out of it before it crapped out. So tried it on my $100 cheapo Chinese reprap printer...that prints ok after a few tweaks. As ...

Re: ZX Printer Belt

I recently discovered (and ordered a spool) of this semi flex filament...might be good for this?

Fiberlogy fiberflex 40D. Video review of it here.

Can be bought in USA from wolfworks3D, there is also a 30D (softer) type too.

Re: ZX80 and ZXCCB

Hard to say so far away. The 2114 RAM chips have 5V at pin 18. Usually pins are marked in anti-clockwise manner, beginning from pin 1 at the lower left corner when you read the name of the IC. Pin 18 is then the top left pin. As far as you get a cursor or something similar and as it moves when you ...

Re: ZX80 and ZXCCB

Well I tried a new ZXCCB board in the ZX80 and still no luck, I put a ZX81 modulator back on and could "sort" of see something...it would not fully tune in but when I applied power the screen changed and if I pressed a key there was also a change to the pattern on the screen. Again it wouldn't tune ...
