Knew of the ax81, tried to contact the creator a year or so ago without success; I've a request of him. Would his direct driving of a 320x240 LCD display be useful for hires? Alas I can't read CZ, nor German; and some of the sites just won't work with the online translators. Martin's site translates...

I'm also a new owner of an issue 3 UK ZX80! I'd love to get my hands on a ZX81 board based on the ZX8...

What happened with these boards?

At one point I had actually prepaid for a board for my son and I to assemble as a summer project, but was asked by Lee if it was OK to send it to Germany instead - we capitulated, but I regret that decision now, as all the boards appear to have worked.

I've been lurking on Jörg's site since his AVR-ChipBasic8 days. Tried sending him a few email but got no replies. I'm pretty certain he's German as that's what Google's translate tells me. He does sell the boards and kits but I'm unable to translate enough of his seller's website to be able to figur...

Yeah, Grant Searle made that PDF of the issue 2 ZX80 motherboard a year, or so, ago.

Apologies Paul, I was being flippant, I'm very pleased with Lee's board design and hope to be privilaged to get a copy of V2 in my own hands.

I can't justify the cost of an "authentic" membrane; especially without an "authentic" case to go with it. I'm interested in Lee's Legacy ZX80 board, as is. However if things are changing, I would love to see composite video out, and an easy way to remove the keyboard section. Or perhaps a more "fun...

I did, < £10 from a US supplier to Canada; if I can't get a good deal from my local guys at Solarbotics.

Besides, I have an old IBM keyboard with individual keys that I'd prefer to repurpose.

Unfortunately a price of £25 for the membrane is too expensive to make it a consideration for me.

What of the MicroAce, can we compair their ZX80 implementation to Lee's?
