Re: New ZX80 Games

HI! Does anyone know of any 64K games? The ZX80 hardware only supports a maximum of 32K RAM: the standard 16K in the 16K-32K region where BASIC programs reside and machine code can run from, and 16K RAM in the 48K-64K region which can only be used to store data. RAM can only be added in the other u...

I was under the impression this was already supported, or have you seen a specific case where it does not work? If so could you provide details so that I can produce it and investigate.

Re: New release of EightyOne available

Version 1.21 of EightyOne is now available:

It primarily introduces improvements and fixes to the facility to import BASIC listings from a text file.

Re: TS 2068 emulation issue in EightyOne

If you still get the same issue with the latest version then try the following: Under the Options menu, select TV Emulation and then try adjusting the vertical hold. If you get other weird things going on after updating then delete the EightyOne.ini file, which will live in a path specific to your l...

Re: New release of EightyOne available

The QL emulation in EightyOne was never completed and as far as I know has never worked (I suspect the 68000 emulation but that is a guess). I've no idea about TR DOS, never tried to use that option.

If anyone wants to investigate these issues and propose fixes then the source is available.

Re: Is this a ZX81 recording or not?

That's great, thanks. I'll examine the GMSave side of the tape when I get a bit of free time. With it having multiple names, I wonder whether is was a type-in routine from a magazine that's been customised...

Have you tried selecting Gather Windows from the View menu in v1.18?

There is an option on the dialog to accept alternate spellings, such as no space in GOTO and GOSUB:

Re: Loading TXT to EightyOne or Converting TXT to .O ZX80?

I am trying to convert a BASIC listing to .O or to load it to EightyOne. That is supported. but then Nothing happens.. just the K cursor.. You can either drag and drop the .b80 file into the main emulator window or the Tape Manager window, or select it via the File > Open options. A dialog should a...
