I have a USA version of the ZX81 (not the TS1000) and it has the TV out like the picture below but it also has a recess where you could remove the cut out for TV out closer to the EAR & MIC like the 2nd picture - why the difference?
Has anyone repainted the ZX81 raised letters and the ZX81 16K RAM raised letters before? I have tried but I keep getting ink on the sides and it originally was only on the top of the letters.
I got my ZX81 USA today - from the son of the original owner. Complete (except missing box) and works great. I have a Zx81 with 16K on its way to me - supposed to be USA version - so should I expect it to be 60 frames and 2K or? Also I will want to make the composite video conversion soon after receiving so can someone point me to the very easiest way of doing such?
