Re: Grant's pages have a new home

Grant,
Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your site. I find it very informative and had a lot of fun porting your Mult-Comp over to my DE0-Nano

Re: Started learning Machine code: Am i doing this correctly?

I found a link to a pdf of a book that contains Z80 routines and a description on how to use assembly language that may be helpful. http://www.bitsavers.org/pdf/osborne/bo ... s_1983.pdf

Re: Machine Language help

Thanks all, I did change the JR To JP P. I forgot about the conditional JP  The Line-ADDR Routine does look helpful but I got my routine working with my code so I'll keep it as is. My idea is to use REM lines for DATA. Each REM will have RTTTL data for use with the ZX-GAME in it. From that I w...

Machine Language help

I'm writing a program and the first step is determining where REMS are in the program so for the first step I wrote READPRG: LD HL, STARTPROG REMLOOP: INC HL // Bypass line number INC HL LD A,(HL) // Get length of line LD C,A INC HL LD A,(HL) LD B, A DEC BC // Adjust for HL to read first token INC H...

Re: Hello From Connecticut

Welcome Tom. Your history sounds like mine. My first computer was a TS1000 I also got on Christmas in 1982 and I learned Z80 assembly on it. Great people think alike :D

Toolchain

I'm working on an assembly code program to run the ZXGame on a ZX81 so I set up this toolchain: ZX-IDE tapeutil.jar I found for some reason that in ZX-IDE if I try to transfer file or create wav it either throws up a message with the title Find and stating that there needs to be a ZXPOST.INC include...

ZX80 Core Manual

I seem to have lost my documentation of the ZX80-Core computer. Pokemon links no longer works. Does anyone have a copy of the ZX80-Core pdf? Thanks!

Re: Cassette To P file

I thought the output of the ZX81 is very low amplitude which needed amplification. Also unlike most Arduinos the Due can only accept and put out 3.3 V which happens to be the perfect voltage for the audio in. I never had a dropout and never saw a corrupted load with the Due.

Re: Cassette To P file

mrtinb, When I wrote the code for my Due I did think about converting the audio but the volume on output is a lot lower because the old cassette players amplified the mic input. To make it work I would have to build some sort of amplifier on the input. Sadly when I lost an external hard drive I also...
