I dare to say that development was often done on a different machine and then only tested on a ZX81. Before using the PC I did that on the ZX Spectrum for the ZX81 and as for my current optimized 1K code I can't code that on a ZX81 since it doesn't use a REM-line or start to MC on the mormal BASIC p...

Very cool 1K games. I was amazed by Qbert in 1K, awesome gameplay and fantastic port! I also liked the Defender type game, would love to see you create a 16K version of Defender and can't wait to see the new Pacman game you are working on! :) The pacman game is already available for some time.

if you power up your ZX81 try my 1K hires games. No problems with rampackwobble and ready to play within 30 sec.

See my SHOGUN in hires. It seems this game links to a Mini Game Compo site, that does not include the game. Maybe you should update the post about the game with the game and source. http://minigamecompo.weebly.com/2k-page.html source I must seek.... but I can also search USCII for the routine it us...

I have no interest doing anything in basic. I'll check out Pauls stuff. I'm really looking to just remap a couple characters for use from assembly replacing a few of the stock characters - or replacing all of them if that's easier. See my SHOGUN in hires. It uses WRX-graphics and text all addressed...

If you look at Nuclear Invaders by Kelly Murta , he has made a game in Forth with UDG. After that he has made a WRX version with a few extra routines, that simulate UDG in WRX mode.
