Re: Programs which use Hi-Res Graphics on the Sinclair ZX81

I found recently an article on an old 1983 Italian magazine (Elettronica 2000) describing an Hi-Res board for the ZX81. http://speccybits.altervista.org/scansioni/e2000_46.rar This article describes a board (including its layout) which is most probably a QS HI-RES clone (the text refers to a resolut...

Re: bugs found on eo

you are right, the glitch exists, and has to do with my driver (I'm not sure why it happens, nor if it is visible on the real zx81). also the frequencies are probably odd, I thought that my theories were right after the successful tests and the confirmation of the test on a real hardware (on a flat ...

Re: Murgatroyd's Revenge (1982) found and uploaded

Many thanks, I also enjoyed the story you just told us, a friend said that his favourite one on the zx81 was the flight simulator, he and his brother used to share the keyboard (and the fun) and drive the plane together.. those memories are very strong :)

Re: bugs found on eo

The attached programs runs only on the old (original) EightyOne version 0.42(Test Z), and only with the NTSC mode disabled and M1NOT circuit disabled. I hope I haven't mixed the files but it should be the same binary which worked on a real ZX81: https://www.z88dk.org/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?cache=&me...

Re: MICROMAN

.. by the way I'm not able to run the last versions I posted for the Memotech. I recently claimed about problems with some EightyOne version not correctly behaving, but now I'm even more confused because some program just runs everywhere  What I can do is to post a recent build of Microman for...

Re: MICROMAN

I notice after long time that I never answered, it is clearly necessary a bit of explanation. The "microman" game is a demonstration program I wrote in C for the z88dk. The game comes with few preset options, intended to slightly adjust it to the different display and memory capabilities but the res...

Missione Impossibile (1985)

I rescued this games from the original tape, I don't find it particularly interesting but it is probably "missing in action" and perhaps some Italian nostalgic played it long ago, so.. here it is !

forgot to mention : I think the memotech hrg bug was introduced long ago, the microdrive one could have always been present
