Re: Music Composer: MUSIK by Memotronic

Nice. I'll have to review those ("Programme de Musique sur TV" & "De la musique sur votre ZX") MUSIK is fun, but has no EDIT mode. The three options are 1 ) PLAY A TUNE 2 ) ENTER A PIECE 3 ) SAVE THE PROGRAM I thought it would be most useful to start with included melody and Edit it. For example: Ad...

Re: Hello I took a Timex out of the Library in 1983

Checked out of the library? I learned something new today, never heard of that before. Right on! I'd also like to explore what might be possible with the sound using the cassette port Try "MUSIK" by Memotronic, listen from the cassette port P2A-musiccomposer.p I've been working on a real-time editor...

Re: Who's on first? (your first Sinclair products)

Here in USA, the ZX80 was the first Sinclair product I heard of. From the advertisements I realized a real computer could be obtained for $150 or so -- although I did not have $150 being a high school student. After running it though my mind for weeks i became convinced it was too limiting. So when ...

Re: zx81 math question

PRINT 20-2*3**2+4/2*3 This is a good brain-twister Using my 1970s learnt order-of-operators, it all works out fine but this new PEMDAS idea messed with my head. At first I thought it meant "perform the Multiplications first, then the Divisions", but that results in the wrong answer. After many effor...

Nocash/no$zx emulator - how to use INCLUDE file

NO$ZX 2.0 emulator seems to be based on A22i assembler, which supports an include directive

Code: Select all

.INCLUDE TEST.INC
however it returns a FATAL error. Any ideas?

the include file has one line:

Code: Select all

ZX_U_ARROW EQU 70H
that works fine if it is typed into the ASM file directly

How can I load the other ROM you mentioned? here is my assembly language test app for Lambda 8300 works OK on NO$ZX v2.0 for Windows using setting "Lambda 8300 (ZX81 revision)" movedot_LAMBDA_2K_nozx.asm movedot_LAMBDA_2K_nozx.BIN.p movedot_LAMBDA_2k_zxi...

Re: Developing for Lambda 8300 with emulator and assembler: NO$ZX 2.0

NO$ZX works very differently than other emulators, it took me a while to figure it out. I used the setting "Lambda 8300 (ZX81 revision)" as the other one (after loading the BIN file) just put random characters on the screen The 8300 seems OK but it requires a lot more typing like spell out L-O-A-D i...

VIDEO: Most Influential Machine Ever?

I saw this new video on YouTube VIDEO: Is This Happy Birthday To The Most Influential Machine Ever? My initial reactions: * Is it about the Apple II? * one of the best videos ever about the ZX81! * perhaps not that influential to the USA market (where low-price wasn't king) * it makes the case for t...
