Re: sz81 emulator

A nice emulator. I've just installed it on my old PC running Ubuntu. Loads quick and runs really smoothly. I really appreciate the work the guys put into these things.

Re: ZX81 External Keyboard

Thanks for the replies. Looks like it would be a bit too complex for my abilities. Maybe I should just keep looking out for a Memotech keyboard or something similar on ebay. I imagine they are as rare as hens teeth.

ZX81 External Keyboard

If I wanted to make or repurpose a keyboard to use with a ZX81, is it safe to use the A8..15 Lines and the 5v connections on the edge connector? I know I'd need the pull-up resisters and the diodes, but would it be safe to do so? It would be nice to have an external keyboard which plugs into the bac...

That's really impressive. I would have thought it would be slower than that.

Re: TI99/4A KEYBOARD ADAPTATION

That is a lovely tidy job. I rewired an Electron keyboard to use with my speccy clone, but it was like sphagetti. You said that you had removed some extra keys. Did you not consider keeping one as a reset key? I did that with my Harlequin (Used the ESC key), but it was easy because there was a reset...

Is it tricky to compile for Linux? Are there many dependencies? I might have a go at compiling later.

Becky.

No, it's not difficult. See file INSTALL:

https://sourceforge.net/p/zesarux/code/ ... ee/INSTALL
Thanks for that. I compiled it earlier with no problems at all. :)

Re: New ZEsarUX beta - RC2

No version for Linux? I run the windows version of ZEsarUX on Linux using WINE. If you're not aware of this project the URL is www.winehq.org Becky. [Edit - Wrong URL] Why? You can always try a stable compiled version for Linux or compile the source code on Linux... It's not the best choice to run ...

Re: New version emulator ZEsarUX 3.1

I have just downloaded the 'unstable' version of ZEsarUX and have been having a play with it. It looks really good. I really like the z88 emulation on it. I've just dug out my Z88 and have been thinking of making more use of it.

Cheers,
Becky.
