Re: ASM : Lambda speaker.

Also know that the Lambda 8300 came in two different ROM versions. The first version was almost a pure ripoff of the ZX81, and the company got sued. Then they released a new ROM where a lot of routines were moved to other locations and they added support for color if you bought an extra Lambda Colou...

Re: ASM : Lambda speaker.

Hi. As you probably already found out, this URL has the best source for the Lambda 8300. problemkaputt.de/zxdocs.htm#lambda8300 There also exists a Lambda 8300 ROM disassemble scanned book in German. This however I cannot find at the moment. The info about TAP format sounds wrong. The Lambda 8300 fo...

Re: 2 cheap Lambda 8300 on eBay

Now there exists another very cheap Lambda 8300 on eBay, just for your information.

I am not associated with the sale.

I am interested in more people using this machine however.

Re: RAM Packs Alternatives?

Paul is correct in my opinion. The 80's edge connectors were terrible whereas the modern replacements are far better, one example is of those fitted to Charlie Robson's Zxpands. The white issue 6 I have from him has an edge connector that grips like a vice and like all my other spands suffers no wo...

Re: Gamecoding in machinecode on a ZX81.

Hello! Thank you for this tutorial. I have worked through it, and it is perfect for my style of learning (I learn best by just jumping in, and looking up stuff as I go). I have a question in terms of reusing this template for other game projects below. Know that DrBeep has just published all this k...

Re: Wilf's CHR$X16

Great work. I've previously bought the componts for this circuit, but didn't find the time to put it together. The main problem with this circuit, I think, is that the charsets are stored in ROM and not in RAM. Maybe this can be solved by replacing the ROM with FRAM or Flash. But the circuit somehow...
