Re: How do I use the Lambda color kit on the zx81?

The new ROM for Lambda 8300 has 3 new commands: INK, PAPER, and BORDER. They have a number as parameter 0-15.

Re: The comp.sys.sinclair Crap Games Competition 2024

The Lambda 8300 has 2k like the TS1000. The Lambda Colour Pack was an expansion you could buy for your system.

(Actually the Lambda Colour Pack will also work on a ZX81/TS1000)

Re: ZX-WESPI issue

If I remember correctly, there was a similar issue on the German forum. I cannot remember which version worked and which did not.

I believe this site has the most resources for the ZX81 and it's cousins.

Re: ZX-WESPI issue

The difficult part here is if you have a modern TV, that does not show the black/white lines on the TV while loading a program. Then it wont help much. :'(

Re: ZX-WESPI issue

You're right.
I was just curious as to whether the firmware was actually working, but it's difficult to see.
Maybe you can record your screen and wespi with your phone while trying to load, so we can compare it with videos of working hardware.
I could upload a hidden video to YouTube for comparison.

Re: ZX-WESPI issue

And the 2nd question is whether you are able to access the webpage, that the Wespi is running?

Re: ZX-WESPI issue

When you power up the system, is it with a regular ZX81 power supply?

Does it supply enough power to the ZX-Wespi, so you can connect to the web-interface in a browser?

Re: game review: BRAHMA by Paul Blythe

Back in the day many ZX80s were upgraded with the 8K ROM from the ZX81. The upgrade even included a keyboard overlay. On this hardware you were limited to FAST mode only. So machines were not mentioned so much as ZX80 vs ZX81, but rather if it had 4k or 8k ROM. Maybe the creator used an upgraded ZX8...
