Re: Looking foir a TS1500
I have bought two. And since there are so few of them they are more expensive. I think that the fact that they are the "better" TS-1000 design points to the reason they are more valuable. In my opinion , this means that if Timex had come out with these first, they would have caught on and possibly c...

Re: How bad was the wobble on the zx81
My opinion, having owned one in 1982, was that: If Timex had introduced only the Timex Sinclair 1500 first which had a "workable" keyboard, and 16K memory built onto board, it may have fared far better. People were so disappointed because of crashes and lack of keyboard that there was no word of mou...

Re: "Mageco" disk controler. [infos, Docs wanted]
I think we are missing a piece on the back of ZX81...no?
The instruction manual may have intimated that a "floppy & printer interface" was used??? (Unless imprimature meant "printed manual")
Maybe a look inside the floppy box would confirm or refute this idea.

Some clues...
http://zx81.over-blog.com/article-le-fl ... 94262.htmlI indicates that inside the floppy disk drive there is a second small interface that is connected to the mechanical part of the floppy disk drive.

Re: "Mageco" disk controler. [infos, Docs wanted]
Would I be in error to say that the electronics use a 3.5" PC floppy disk drive?
Would I be in error to say the only electronics necessary is the previously published schematic?
(By the schematic, I cannot tell how the connector attached/connector to a ZX81.)
