Re: Timex Sinclair 2068 - Troubleshooting
The 2068 power supply was 15v; 19v is a bit more than it likes. The 5v circuit in the 2068 is generated by the 78S40 and D43C1. I have never tried powering the 2068 with anything higher than the original 15v but I'll guess that putting 19v it will result in higher than 5v from that power supply. You...

LOAD from within a program
Hi! I'm trying to understand why LOAD from within a program works in one instance but not another. Attached are two TAP files. Each does the same thing: attempts to load the next program from "tape". When the 2nd program has been saved with an auto start (SAVE "progname" LINE X), the LOAD works. Whe...

BASIC source code, maybe
Hi all, I have been working for a number of years documenting the American side of the Sinclair world (see timexsinclair.com). I also host twice-a-month Zoom meetings for folks interested in the Timex versions. Last year, Lon Hildreth, one of the software engineers who worked on the TS 2068, joined ...

Re: Can Anyone Answer These Questions - MW100 Printer
Hey, American here who actually saw an MW100 in a university store in the early 80s. I had a TS1000 and any printer was out of reach, so I spent a lot of time looking at stuff in stores. The MW100 is a receipt printer modified to work with the Sinclair. It prints 16 chars across, so you have to tape...

That’s me
My website (timexsinclair.com) indexes all that stuff, too.

Re: AZMIC ROM
I came into a bunch of moderately-rare-in-the-US hardware by way of one of the authors of The Timex/Sinclair User's Encyclopedia . Today I scanned the manual for the American version of the ASZMIC ROM. What does not come through in the scan is the gold color of the cover. Everything else is there, t...

Re: ZXForth. Plagerism, clever marketing or something else?
I have a PDF that's a retyped version of the H4TH manual and did a quick comparison... the differences do seem a bit cosmetic

Re: ZXForth. Plagerism, clever marketing or something else?
Reviving this thread to mention that I have come into possession of two copies of the Tree-Forth manual. I've unbound one (just 3 giant staples), scanned it and uploaded here:
