Re: Expansion connector ZX80

I have 30-odd of these connectors that are functionally identical to the ones used on the Zxpand boards, the only difference being pin length (mine are a tad longer @15mm) and number of contacts (mine have 100 per). These were a custom production order item with a 50-piece minimum @ $4.00 each. If a...

ZX80 computer kit for sale

I have recently listed on SellMyRetro my ZX80 clone kit that is untouched and still in as-bought state. It does not include the power adapter nor the case for it, just the board and all components.

Re: My TS1000 is lifeless

When I went to the Commodore 64 it became a monthly routine to pop the case and re-seat all the chips as they would gradually "walk" themselves out of their sockets. Although the "old" ULA seemed to be firmly in its socket, I may just have to take a shot at giving it another try. As always, thanks f...

Re: My TS1000 is lifeless

By "lifeless" I meant that "No Signal" was displayed on the monitor. Sorry for the lack of clarity. The ULA and and Z80 are socketed. I gave each a good push into the socket and they seemed fine. After my posting I realized I had two spare ULAs to try, one a reclaim and the other from Andy. I pulled...

My TS1000 is lifeless

It has been a few months since I last powered up my TS, but today it is showing no signs of life. Was functioning just fine the last time used. Voltage from the power supply is good, and got 4.7 and 9 volts when checked at the Traco. and connection is good to the ZX8-CCB. It had previously been fitt...

Zxpand+ boards available once again

Just a heads-up for everyone that Sirmorris has just re-listed a quantity of 50 Zxpand+ boards available on the SMR site.

https://www.sellmyretro.com/offer/details/40565

It is a pre-order as was the last batch, which were all claimed within a couple of hours.

Cheers,

Re: ZX Printer Belt

Yes, the printer I recently purchased came from there. Some evil unseen force coerced me into opening it up to have a look-see at the belt Ian is using. This, of course, voided the warranty, but all in the name of science, right? Dimensionally they are for all practical purposes identical. I don't k...
