Did you swap the ULA for a known working one?

I have had zeddies which were fine until a key was pressed at which point they had various failures.

Welcome! Just seen this post. I can’t offer any help on fixing your Spectrum but have just tried one of mine and yes you can hear the tape loading from the speaker when you load from tape. Is a ULA from an issue 3 fully compatible with an issue 2 pcb? I know they changed the ULAs over the years. Goo...

I bought a ZX8-CCB from Sell My Retro and put it in a small project box along with an RF socket and three flying leads (to connect to the ULA pins). That works well. I see... good Idea thank you..
