There's a whisper going around that the company who took over Ferranti have put in an order for 15,000 units!
My dad worked at Ferranti in the 70's so at least a few will be ordered here

It's worthwhile checking the 'Active Topics' screen when you browse the site ;)
It's in the dropdown quick links...
Mark
Thanks for the tip Mark, I'll make sure to do that in future :D With this ongoing heatwave I've just been quickly checking in on my phone.

I really want to use my Commodore monitors but I need to be able to load the ZX via OLTA and space wont allow for a big monitor.
I'm in the same boat there, my Amiga multisync monitor has been in storage for many years.

Re: New find zx81 and updates

Thanks, I've only tried mine on a 1999 CRT TV that I have in the back room which gave a very good output. I should take a look on the modern LED TVs that I have in the house too to see how it fairs.

Re: New find zx81 and updates

The 555 design came from JoulesperCoulomb YouTube videos. On his design there are 4 resisters. I replaced the 68 and 56 ohm resisters with 100 ohm pots. For me R4 the 56 ohm did the more adjustment to the output. The POTs do cause some issues with it fitting in the RF shield. I don't really know wh...

Re: New find zx81 and updates

Good stuff, I've made a few of the 555 based Composite video boards too, do you have a details of adding the turn based pots? That was something that I wanted to get around to asking advice on here :)
