PCBs for prototype arrived and [the first b]aceXpand[/b] is born. First tests done and so far so good, AY chip plays & additional 32KB RAM available as expected. The hardware is nearly completed. More test with various SDHC cards to follow.

Anyway I am prototyping with SDHC cards thanks to @roganjosh. 3-in-1 interface would have SDHC card reader, 32K RAM and AY chip on board.

I would also suggest using 74HCU04 inverter instead of 74HC04.

Hi Mathias :)

It looks good and works :) However, be very careful with the Speccy heatsink as it may short +5V rail to the GND on the board.
