In any case I am still looking for the rom code for the fd-zx. They seem to be rare,I hope someone archived the rom.

Just raising this back up to the top.

Did anyone find BBDOS? I have a FD-ZX that has a blank ROM that I'd like to restore,

There’s already Grant Searle’s version, and ZX96, ZX97, ZX2000.

If I would build my custom ZX81 it will probably be ZXNU from ZXTeam. It also uses standard components and has build-in flash drive.

Re: R.I.P Sir Clive.

The zx81 was my second computer, my first was an 8008 designed and built by me. The 8008 was and act of love. The zx81 I loved to use. After flipping front panel switches to load programs on the 8008. The zx81 got more real use. Though I quickly added a real keyboard to make it easier to use. I also...

Re: Looking for Aerco FD-ZX documentation

HI,

Still looking for a manual. :(

Also... When I pulled the EPROM to back it up on my controller it turned out to be blank. Might anyone have the firmware around for this controller?

Re: Harlequin Questions

Hi,

That's helpful.

On keyboards I see the ones at sellmyretro. I'm a newbe to the spectrum. Visually the plus and 128k have a different layout than the 16 and 48k keyboards. Electrically are they compatable? Is there a high quality keyboard available?
