I assume you want the answer to be in the beginner's class, so here we go: Back in the day, you could either buy an assembler made by someone else, or you could code with paper and pen first. Most people coded with paper and pen to start with. There's no Z80 statement for LD HL,BC so that has to be...

the author mentioned an issue with strings. care to clarify? why is it so hard to dimension 48000 characters if the C64 has 64K ram

but how exactly is it slow? I can see the video just fine. my question concerns the hardware. for instance, creating a business application using just FP numbers and no Integers. how would they be different, what would the change look like when run?

What is so bad about using Floating Point math in a BASIC program

I understand the ZX80 and 81 are simple machine. What I do not understand is the 32768 limitation and how it affects programs. The Apple II had this issue, making it hard to program business programs. What I want to know is Why?

I think you may be waiting a long time for any changes to be made... Maybe a translation site would help... Mark I actually laughed a bit at the author's obvious Bias against the c64. Portraying us as Puffed up bullies, not the best move. A lot of C64 users aren't that bad, but the C64 does have it...
