Make sure you are using a MONO cable between the computer and tape player. Also, try running the tape on batteries if it can. You may be getting mains noise. Seconding the moving as far from the CRT as possible.

There is also renewed ZX1541 on the market which works with any SD2IEC well. I ordered my ZX1541 a few weeks ago. It should arrive in a week or so! I plan on using one of my many real 1541 drives. lol. I have an SD2IEC and PI1541 available, but feel that actual floppies on the T/S 1000 would be awe...

Wellp.. My "RAM" arrived from China today. WRONG chips. I am not the proud owner of 10 "ATMEGA328P" chips.. wheeeeeee No 16K for my T/S 1000s.. No sir.

I ordered some HM62256ALP-10s this AM with 28 pin dual-swipe sockets. If there is interest, I will sell them in the states as I ordered a few. Now I get to wait.. And wait... And wait...
