Was only a mock-up , connector not soldered !!

now waiting for the last components to arrive , and then do some basic testing on a speccy , and if that works well i will put it on the extender connector of the discovery to see if it works there too .

- might be needed to remove the diode on the multiface one

Hi mark , nothing specific on the front of the pcb , m_IMG_5824.jpg Or on the back , m_IMG_5988.jpg m_IMG_5989.jpg only multiface enable and the nmi switch have been extended to some wire-posts all ic's get their 5 volt . - i have ordered the parts to make a new multiface to try on the output connec...

the only result at pressing the nmi-button is speccy reset.

i verified the eprom , and it is ok ( verified against download )


Any ideas ?



- i have ordered the multiface remake pcb , so in an attempt to see if that one works on theis "frankenstein"build spectrum.

Mark , crystal clear !! i noticed the common motor on , but needed some time to get the ds in my mind. i now have 1 drive set as ds0 , and that works perfect . the other drive i have does not want to work with 10 and 12 swapped ( i noticed there is no connection on its pcb for 10 ) , hardwiring 10 i...

so finally found the programms to format a modern floppy-drive diskette to use with the spectrum !! altough i now have to use drive " 2 " instead of " 1 ". I assume that has to do with the difference between the original opus drive and the pc one . can a " twisted " cable solve this ? can anyone hel...

i took all those chips off to verify them in a component tester

i will try to get some sense into the opus coming weekend ,

Need the formatting programm to do so on a pc-floppy .

everything soldered together , no history known .

2 problems ,

no working multi face 1
opus error 9 ( has 2 eproms , 2.1 2.31 )

it will keep the speccy's rom , not switching to mf1 .

i am a bit out of options i fear .

And as some mooro..... has soldered everything together it is almost impossible to remove the mf1 board ( without damaging it ) .

might the ram be a possible deal-breaker here ?

pressing nmi results in a speccy reset .

hope you can give me some hints .

all ttl logic has been tested and is ok .

eprom has already been changed for a new one , same result .
