Re: S-Pack DCP Micro developments
Does anyone have the additional ROM chips? Mine just has the starter one installed with 70 words.

Re: S-Pack DCP Micro developments
I also have one of these and I have no idea how to use it, did you ever get it to work? All I've been able to find is there are supposedly 2 ports mapped at 49148 and 49149 and the expectation was using POKE, but I have no idea what to do with them and have found no examples. Edit: 49148 doesn't app...

Re: Memotech HRG ROM/PAL dumps?
Well hopefully not destroy. Desoldering these is pretty easy with a proper vacuum driven desoldering station - I've pulled hundreds of chips at this point. The reading/etc is not a risk. It's the overall "subjecting old parts to more heat than they're used to" thing. It's definitely working at the m...

Re: Memotech HRG ROM/PAL dumps?
How rare are these by the way so I know how much I'm risking? It was part of a £300 lot on ebay.. I plan to keep it in working condition hence checking on availability of all programmable elements.

Re: Memotech HRG ROM/PAL dumps?
So would the file I found bundled with the emulator be an accurate dump of the chip? If so, I don't need to desolder and dump it.
Yes IC1 & 2 are a PAL16 and a PAL14, I have the hardware to read these and if necessary brute force ones with the protection set.

Memotech HRG ROM/PAL dumps?
I just picked up a working Memotech HRG, is the ROM inside the exact same one I see is bundled in the ROM directory with the EightyOne emulator? There are 2 PALs on the PCB too, does anyone know if those have been dumped? I preserve arcade hardware mainly but I can desolder the parts and try to dump...

Re: JOY81 - Programmable Joystick Interface for ZX81
Does anyone have a spare they'd be willing to part with or know if they're still being made?

Re: WTD: Sinclair Programs July 1985 & joystick interface
Thanks but I'm trying to finish my physical collection. When I was growing up it was my favourite magazine as the ZX81 was my first computer (everyone else had Spectrums but we weren't as fortunate) and it's not like you could go to many shops to buy ZX81 games. I'm quite attached to them and books ...

Re: WTD: Sinclair Programs July 1985 & joystick interface
Definitely the AGF! Thanks I couldn't remember the name earlier but it was definitely that. I'm assuming the Comcon one is for the Spectrum only?
